Als ik ooit opnieuw naar San Pedro reis kom ik zeker terug!

The room was very comfortable and clean. There was hot water in the bathroom and enough blankets to keep us warm at night. San Pedro is small, so the hostal was close enough to everything. Our bus to calama would leave later than the check out time, so we were allowed to leave our luggage in custody for a fair fee.

Wonderful quiet location about 1km from town. Clean and comfortable rooms, wonderful host who organised early breakfast for us on days we had to go earlier. Remember to ask for fan on hot days :)

Hostal Purilackti bevindt zich op 2 km van Pukará de Quitor en 13 km van Valle de la Luna, en heeft kamers in San Pedro de Atacama. A great location right in the centre of San Pedro but still quiet enough not to be disturbed by noise from the main street. We slept very well here although a few dogs barking on the street at night. Clean room and bathroom and a comfortable bed. Good bathroom and plenty of hot water for a shower after days in the desert. We had a little terrace and table outside our room in the shade, and a communal kitchen with refrigerator and free coffee, tea and cereal, and a big water dispenser. A couple of hammocks and a shaded area with a couple of tables to hangout. The owner, Pablo, is such a nice guy. He was very helpful and friendly and speaks very good English. Through conversations I learned a little about the area, and the history and battles between ancient tribes, the Incas, and the Spanish. He had a lot of tips for places to see and eat, all of which we followed. And although there is not actually parking at the hostel due to limited space and the gate being very narrow, he still let us park our car there at night . If I were to come back there San Pedro I would definitely stay here again.

Hostal Belen beschikt over een barbecue, en is gelegen in San Pedro de Atacama in de regio Antofagasta Region, op 8 km van Piedra del Coyote en 28 km van Termas de Puritama. Op loopafstand van hoofdstraat waar alle wisselkantoren, tour agentschappen, restaurants en souvenirwinkels zitten. Airport transfer via hostal Belem geboekt (Pampa). We verbleven hier 3 nachten voor onze 4-daagse tour naar Uyuni en konden hierna in de gezamenlijke kamer douchen en opfrissen voordat we werden opgehaald voor de airport transfer. Vanuit hier tours ‘stargazing’ en ‘salt lake’ gedaan. In hostel fietsen gehuurd om naar Valle de la Muerta te fietsen (3,5 km). Schoon en verzorgd hostel, lekker dikke dekens, ruime kamers, warme douche. Ontbijt voldoet prima. Reageert snel op vragen via whatsapp.

Hostal Ayni ligt in San Pedro de Atacama, op 7,7 km van Piedra del Coyote en heeft een tuin, een terras en uitzicht op de stad. Hostal Ayni lived up to expectations. Just what I was hoping for. I stayed in a private room with a shared bathroom. The room was clean, spacious enough to layout my things, had a very powerful tabletop fan (which can be needed some nights), and had a comfortable bed with a very warm comforter for those cold nights. The location of the hostel is an advantage to others because it is easy walking distance to the center of town, which makes it quiet and peaceful away from the noise but not too far either. There is a big open kitchen for use with all the amenities needed, a fridge, stove, and ample seating inside and outside. There is a lot of seating outside and two hammocks to hang out or have meals. This allowed all the guests to not feel crowded around each other. There’s a tienda very close by (a few metres) that comes in handy if you need something quickly (water, snacks, etc.). The hosts were very accommodating to all requests for the 5 days I stayed there. They even allowed me to stay a little longer than checkout time to align with the pick up time for my shuttle to the airport. The bathrooms are cleaned daily so there was always a welcoming bathroom to use after a full day out. It is not your typical hostel feel but more like living in a home, which is good because it attracts more mature guests and keeps the place quiet. I highly recommend this place.
