There were a lot of attention and care in all aspects, food quality and presentation, decoration and overall peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. It felt we were in a world apart, where people care about you, they are attentive to you and your needs. Eric and Jo were fabulous hosts discreet and yet super efficient and caring. We loved the pain perdus, they were as good as my grandmother's ones. I have food allergies, they did not dismiss them on the contrary. It was the perfect long weekend, just what we all needed. The hostess was extremely attentive and served us a wonderful breakfast. We were able to arrive at a later time without any problems. The room is very warm and cozy. I felt like I was living in a typical French house for a day: the house is beautifully decorated, classic and tasteful. The location is close to the ferry boat, which makes it a strategic spot for those going to Dover. The shower had good water flow, heated up very well and the bathroom was large and very comfortable, with everything available. Cleanliness was good also. Main attraction is certainly the cats. If you like cats, you MUST stay here (really! i've met here some of the most beautiful cats i've ever seen). On the other hand, If you're the kind of person who gets annoyed by what's normal for an environment with cats (in other words, if you're a pain in the ass, fussy moron), it's best not to bother them.

I booked late end of the day. However the host was flexible and kind enough to assist me quickly. Really a nice welcome. The accommodation is absolutely beautiful and comfortable. I really liked the decoration and nice details in the house. It's a nice mixture of the history of the building with the comfort of today.

Beautifully restored building with a stunning kitchen breakfast area and courtyard all on a quiet street. Phillipine was one of the nicest people we have met on this 6 country bike tour. We were even able to store our bikes in the courtyard.
