I travel a lot: around the UK, across Europe, and I even visited Canada recently — but I’ve never come across such a perfect room. It feels even more amazing when you consider the price. Everything shines with cleanliness. The renovation is new, and the design is very stylish - the idea with the wooden panels is simply brilliant. The location is perfect: close to the castle and the beach. There’s plenty of parking, and it’s free, right by the house. I honestly regretted booking only one night and definitely want to come back. By the way, there’s also a gas station just across the street. The view from the window is literally the castle, just slightly blocked by a tall pine tree 🙂 I especially want to highlight the host’s hospitality. We arrived very late for check-in (which is normally between 5 and 6 p.m.), yet he not only understood our situation but welcomed us with great warmth. After the stress of a long journey, that reception truly set the tone for our holiday. At first I couldn’t relax, but this house really healed me. And just to note: towels are provided in the room. The toilet and shower are shared, but the house has only three rooms in total.

Located on the beachfront in Barmouth and featuring a terrace, Bluebells guest house has free WiFi throughout the property. All units in the guest house are equipped with a kettle. The staff were very friendly and attentive ensuring that guests felt at home and ensuring that our needs were met at all times. The deluxe single room was lovely with an incredible large private bathroom outside the bedroom, the bed was extremely comfortable and the views over the bay were just to die for making this without a shadow of a doubt the best single room for solo travellers that I have come accross so far on my travels around the UK (and I travel alone a lot for work and leisure to lots of different places so this really says something). The room was refreshed daily with hot drink supplies and bin changes (which disappointingly not that many places do these days), the breakfast was amazing made with high quality produce, the garden area is vibrant, horticulturally interesting and immaculately kept with seating and tables outside and the interior of the B&B is unique and full of character which makes it stand out from the rest. I highly recommend Bluebells Guest House and can't thank the staff enough for their hospitality. I will return.

Can take train either to aberdovey golf links or Royal St. David golf links - both are terrific courses - and to take the train back and forth makes the round extremely enjoyable.
