Best of all was the Valley of the Temples itself : breathtaking and unmissable. Staying at Casa sul Mare meant we could visit in the evening, which is very atmospheric, especially when they floodlight the temples. Our hosts made sure we got to the right car park at the right time to avoid the crowds. Casa sul Mare is set in a lovely garden and was very quiet, although handy for the main road. There's a shared kitchen so you could self-cater to some extent. Roberto provided a 'help yourself' breakfast for free since they weren't cooking because early in the season. Highly recommended.
