This place is the best. I highly recommend staying here for your visit to Petra. They only have a few rooms, so they treat each of their guests like family. I highly recommend the dinner and the lunch boxes. It's about the same price or cheaper than what you find on the streets, but it is so much more convenient and peaceful. It is a short 10-minute walk from the Petra visitor center. Remember to bring JOD. They don't accept credit card, but there is an ATM by the visitor center. We have two kids under 12 and they both ate free! We wanted to start Petra at 6 AM, so they prepared our lunch boxes for us the night before so they'd be waiting for us on our way. This really helped us beat the heat and the crowds. Our family was able to hike all the way to the Treasury and the monastery before it got hot. Pro tip: If you want the dinner (which you do) you should let them know at least a couple of hours before you want it.

Mohammad is such a great guy! Very kind person and his family as well. They made us feel at home from the first moment! Also Mohammad Mum is amazing at cooking so if you want to eat there you will be amazed! The day we visited Petra early in the morning, they pre-prepared our breakfast for us. We also had dinner there one night, which was delicious, and we're invited many times for tea and snacks. Comfortable room, good value for money. Very close to Petra entrance, 2 minutes by car.
