馬籠ふるさと学校 Magome Furusato Gakkou bevindt zich in Nakatsugawa, op minder dan 1 km van Toson Memorial Museum, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een terras. It was a great experience, with a huge vibe. Staying on a previous school. Kitchen with everything you can imagine. With good coffee/chocolate/tea available. Staff was amazing and made a great sugestion for dinner.

At first I was surprised by the good ratings, but it was indeed well deserved! The staff was very friendly and the guesthouse is very spacious, with a great view to the mountain and the sea. We were very well received and everything was clean and tidy! Top experience

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. The people working there are both friendly, helpful and caring, it felt like they had a genuine intrest in their guests. The common areas are clean and cosy with a relaxed vibe, and when I was there the guests interacted with each other so you could get to know new people if you wanted to. The place was also in walking distance to both the bus station, old part of town and to a shopping mall with a proper supermarket. If you dont want to walk, there is a 7/11 right next door, or there is the possibility to buy food and coffee at the place. If I come back to Takayama I would choose to stay here again

富士山を眺められる宿 ゲストハウス花水木 bevindt zich in Nishikatsuracho, op 7,7 km van pretpark Fuji-Q Highland en 11 km van Kawaguchimeer, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie en... Wat een geweldige ervaring. Echt een Japans huis. We hebben het hier heel fijn gehad. Prachtig uitzicht over Mt. Fuji. In de buurt genoeg voorzieningen. Zeker een aanrader. Eigenaar spreekt niet veel Engels. Maar we begrijpen elkaar.

Snow Palace Nozawa bevindt zich op 21 km van skigebied Ryuoo Ski Park en 32 km van Jigokudani Monkey Park, en heeft kamers in Nozawa Onsen. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Venue feels brand new and very clean. Location is close to town, shops, restaurants and the slopes.

白馬の黒馬 DarkHorse @Hakuba bevindt zich in Hakuba, op 16 km van skigebied Tsugaike Kogen, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een bar. Satisfied with the dormitory capsule size. Staffs are always friendly and helpful. Pick up service was good, reliable and flexible. Although shared bathroom, it is not quite busy. And shower, toilet and sinks are separate, which is good. Vibe is nice, people lives in the same hostel will always gather around the fireplace and share their day or their culture.

11月フルリフォーム 12月オープン恐竜一色ゲストハウスDinosaur Guesthouse ligt in Katsuyama, op 26 km van Eiheiji-tempel, en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. Staying at the Guesthouse is a must if you go to Katsuyama and visit the dinosaur museum, especially if you have children, even older ones. The stay enhanced the experience. As other reviews have attested, I confirm the hospitality the owners provided us and went beyond our expectations. Many people will visit the museum as a day trip. However, I highly recommend staying overnight if you are a Japanese national with children or, like me, an international tourist.

B&B legare ligt in Gifu, en biedt accommodatie met een terras of een balkon, gratis WiFi en flatscreen-tv, en gratis fietsen en een tuin. The host was super sweet. She will make sure you make the best of your time in Gifu. I didn’t have much of an itinerary so she voluntarily made dinner and brought me to a mountaintop onsen. She will fuss over you like a mom would. I had a mosquito bite and she was so stressed! Her home was also very clean and comfortable. She made a wonderful breakfast for me before I left. This stay was one of the best memories of Japan and I hope to stay here again. Oh and she is very easy to contact with. She speaks minimal English but is very efficient over electronic communications. She also offers to drive you from to and from the station. I really can’t say enough good things!
