Kitchen with everything you can imagine. With good coffee/chocolate/tea available. Staff was amazing and made a great sugestion for dinner.

Please pay in cash or by card upon check-in. Guests under 12 years old are exempt from the lodging tax. Calm, nice peaceful vibes, everything was perfect. Epic showers.

Although we initially reserved one room, we were pleasantly surprised to have access to the entire house. It’s a lovely traditional home—old yet well-maintained. The host was wonderful and incredibly friendly. Overall, everything was great, and we had a delightful stay.

Each room is equipped with a terrace with garden views and free WiFi. great host, Hiko. friendly and spoke English well. we arrived late but he waited for us so he can personally welcome us. the apartment is very near the Gifu-Hashima Station and there are restaurants and konbinis nearby.

The guest house is newly renovated and it retains traditional wooden structure and flooring. It is warm and cozy in chilly autumn. That night I was the only one in the dorm. Travellers staying in other rooms were understanding. I had a sound sleep.

All his recommendations of things to do in Takayama were spot on and Taku has a sunny and playful personality that made him a joy to be around. The house was spotlessly clean with a well decorated and cozy common area with awesome music playing in the background and a kitchen stocked with coffee/tea, utensils, dishes, etc. Showers were even nicer than expected - private rooms with a changing area and plenty of hot water. The location was excellent, both close to the train station and a short walk from central Takayama. This place is amazing value for the quality of accommodations and experience you get and I can’t wait to come back for another stay.

First time in years that I have slept without earplugs. Good to know: you can not bathe at the guesthouse. I was a bit scared of using the Onsen at first, but ended up loving it. The hosts are such nice people. They made my stay even better, thank you so much.
