It was comfortable with airco and renovated modern bathroom. You will be welcomed by a super lovely gentle Akita dog called Sun. We participated in the morning ritual of Shingon Buddhism at the temple. The service is basically in Japanese but I'm sure it will be an unforgettable experience even if you don't understand the language. They kindly explained the essence of Shingon teaching and how this temple stay was established. After the ritual, we had Buddhist breakfast together. It is located in a small community with a view of rice fields and green mountains. If you wish to stay in a unique quiet place in Sado and to get in touch with the local people, this is the perfect place to stay.

Very kind and helpful. The location was a quick walk to the beach. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. 10/10 would stay again.

Nanauraso is gelegen in Sado. Het pension met 2 sterren biedt een tuin en heeft kamers met airconditioning, gratis WiFi, een gedeelde badkamer. This is 100% the most memorable accommodation I’ve stayed at in Japan so far, out of two trips. The host is kind, the food is incredibly good and generous portions. Great ryokan experience. ❤️ The bathrooms and bath (onsen-style) are shared, but were always well cleaned. It’s a small ryokan, so there isn’t a lot of foot traffic in these areas anyway. The bath was very relaxing. Most rooms are traditional tatami. There is parking in front of the building if you rent a car visiting Sado Island (which I heavily recommend). I would want to come back to Nanauraso when I come back to Sado.

佐渡民宿 憩 IKOI GUEST HOUSE & Cafe Bar is voorzien van kamers met airconditioning in Sado. Very close to a nice beach. There’s an also a cafe inside the facility. I liked our room for too, it was as spacious, common areas also looked nice.

The house is located about 40min away in car from the port in a remote and quiet area which is super nice to rest. The staff was very enthusiastic and was kind enough to wait for me when I got slightly lost in car. The house was spotless and very pretty. Mind that there is nothing to eat around the area so buy or eat in advance. Overall a very great place!
