It was very easy to get to by car, and I was the only guest in the entire house. The owners are so nice, and always willing to chat with you. They don't know much English so it is better if you know Japanese. However, your stay will still be a very comfortable one as they go above and beyond to meet all your expectations.

The location is very peaceful, the Japanese style room was very prettily decorated and spacious, and the Miyako and her husband were fabulous hosts. They were so friendly and helpful, and made us feel very well cared for. Miyako prepared delicious and generous meals for us that were absolutely beautiful. She was also a huge help with arranging luggage transfer for us as we began our planned hike along the Michinoku trail. And she and her husband offered to drive us to and from Hachinohe station at a very reasonable rate, which is a big help and big time saver because Hachinohe is very spread out.

I was so impressed by the hospitality at this place! The oweners have such a warm welcome and friendly! It's location is great to travel around temples in Hiraizumi! The facility is so clean and Japanese tatami room was so cozy! Moreover, the breakfast was so delicious!

Matakitai está en Ichinoseki, a 14 km de Templo Motsuji, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis y salón de uso común. La casa es espectacular. El propietario lo tiene todo muy bien montado con instrucciones claras sobre la cocina, el baño, las habitaciones, información sobre las atracciones turísticas más cercanas, las tiendas y un largo etc. El desayuno es muy barato y buenísimo!! Además, te deja elegir hora entre las 6 y las 9 de la mañana para preparártelo. Para llegar hasta la casa hay que bajarse en la estación de Mataki y está a unos 5 minutos caminando. No hay demasiados trenes durante el día pero sí los suficientes teniendo en cuenta que es una zona rural, tan solo hay que saber el horario que tienen.

Guest House Chara se encuentra en Hirosaki, a 34 km de Parque arqueológico de Sannai-Maruyama y a 3,5 km de Castillo de Hirosaki. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming - there was also a breakfast included (which I didn't remember getting). The house was full of history and souvenirs which I'm sure the hosts are more than happy to talk to you about. There is also "sake nights" where the hosts offered us a chance to try different sakes. There is only one shower in the facility, so there is a booking system to reserve your shower slot.

Shukubo Kanbayashi Katsukane se encuentra en Tsuruoka, a 24 km de Acuario Kamo Aquarium, y ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Amazing accommodation. We had a huge 20 mat room, with AC and fan. The host was wonderful - so helpful and so willing to communicate by means of phone translator. She organised us a taxi to Mt Gassan 8th station. Food was fab. Hope to return to do more of the local pilgrimage routes. Mt Kaguro is on the doorstep.
