Fantastic location, right on Uwanodai slope - actual ski-in ski-out. Host was extremely friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant was great and good value. Nice draught beer! Shower in room with a shared hot bath that could be booked for free. There's a ski/boot room in the basement that opens onto the slope. The decor is a bit dated but in a very charming way.

Shukubo Kanbayashi Katsukane se encuentra en Tsuruoka, a 24 km de Acuario Kamo Aquarium, y ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. The hotel located right next to Zuishinmon so it’s very easy to hike Mt.Haguro from this location and also close to bus stop as well. The room is traditional Japanese room with futon and also air conditioner. The place has a shared bathroom and washroom. The food was very delicious. I had a very pleasant stay despite it was raining for two days straight. The lady who runs the hotel is also very helpful and kind towards a foreigner like me. Very recommended for people who would like to experience proper Japanese stays.

Everything very clean. Very large room for single or 2 persons, can probably fit a whole family. Keiko was super nice and helpful and had great suggestions for restaurants. There’s just a lot of attention to every detail overall. The toilets even had the highest quality toilet paper I’ve ever seen in Japan😀 The price in summer/off season was very fair. There is no AC but it should unusually not be needed. Even when it was 37 degree in Tokyo it was only 25 in Zao onsen.

The couple who runs it are so nice :) they were very sweet to the kids We booked the big panda room and our kids loved it !

Green Season - 民泊 Matsuo House in Zao Onsen - Japanese Style - Private Room está en Zao Onsen, en la región de Yamagata, cerca de Estación de esquí Zao Onsen. I love the family (parents + daughter), it's their personal home with 4 guest rooms ( Japanese tatami style rooms with shared bathroom). I like evenings by the fire exchanging travel stories with the family and guests. Sharing our food and drinks with everyone. Access to the kitchen to prepare your own food, (if you stay long get groceries in Yamagata before coming). Wash machine access (at small fee). Location: next door to free Onsen (10 meters) and close to ski lift (400 meters) and convenience shop (400 meters). Overall felt really welcomed and would recommend this.

Winter Season - 民泊 Matsuo House in Zao Onsen - Japanese Style - Private Room está en Zao Onsen, en la región de Yamagata, cerca de Estación de esquí Zao Onsen. I stayed for four nights here and absolute perfect experience. The house owners are a family with a kid. And can communicate with Cantonese, Chinese, English, Japanese and even Thai. They are very friendly and introduced the ski resort with nearby onsen. The room is clean and large enough for 2-3 ppl. Although the house don’t have the onsen,it only need 1 mins walk to a free public onsen. Lawson and central rope way is 5-10 mins walk. Generally I strongly recommend to all people that love staying in guest house. Totally worth it. Especially for someone is solo ski trip.

Daichan Farm Guest House se encuentra en Asahi-machi, a 39 km de Estación de esquí Zao Onsen, y ofrece alojamiento con bicicletas gratis, parking privado gratis, jardín y salón de uso común. A delightful stay! We were very welcomed at the home stay. We had an amazing time and even tried a Japanese dinner. Thank you!

Shukubo Daishinbo se encuentra en Tsuruoka, a 24 km de Acuario Kamo Aquarium, y dispone de jardín, habitaciones libres de humo y wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento. Todo, absolutamente todo. El lugar era mágico y muy espiritual, y las instalaciones perfectas sin dejar de lado el espíritu tradicional de japón y de un bonito ryokan. Una experiencia inolvidable. Los dueños del santuario muy amables y dispuestos a ayudarnos siempre, con una sonrisa en la cara y con ganas de introducirnos en su cultura. Hicimos el rezo por la mañana todos juntos y nos dieron una cena y un desayuno super rico y bien presentado. Recomendable al 100%. Es el lugar de japón que más nos ha gustado.

Yamagata Zao Pension Aplon Stage es un alojamiento de 3 estrellas que está en Kaminoyama, a 2,3 km de Estación de esquí Zao Onsen, y que tiene jardín, terraza y restaurante. I stayed in this cozy lodge for a night with my friend. I appreciate very pleasant stay at the accommodation. The hosts are quite helpful and proactively proposed any possible sightseeing locations around the place. We had wonderful dinner and breakfast.
