About 15 minutes walking from the centre, in a quiet location. The room was great, spacious, spotless, with everything you might need. Bathroom is brand new and the shower is powerful. Love that! Breakfast is excellent too, we didn’t try the dinner. Staff were great, always happy to help out. Liked the cheap laundry service, handy when backpacking around Sri Lanka. Oh and the bed is the most comfortable one I’ve slept on here. Can’t go wrong with this place - trust me, stay here.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly and helpful owner and his amazing family, who ensured a warm welcome and served for us delicious lunch (the dining experience was truly a delight). One of the highlights of this homestay is its’ beautiful view from the terrace: you can sea the Lovers Leap waterfall and tea plantations (walking distance). The room is spacious and cosy, even with the patchwork rug on the floor. There’s also a nice common living room. Overall, our stay at S and D Homestay was exceptional. The combination of the hospitable family, delightful meals, beautiful view and the refreshing cool air made it a remarkable experience.

The view of the lake is breathtaking, the room was very comfortable and probably the cleanest one of our 3-week travel in Sri Lanka. The hosts were exceptionally friendly, offering us all recommendations we needed and making sure we left the breakfast with our bellies filled with delicious homecooked food. Would dedinitely recommend!

We were warmly welcomed by the owner of the guesthouse. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated – really comfortable. The owner was extremely kind and gave us great advice about nearby restaurants. He was also very helpful with practical tips, especially regarding the train. His suggestion to board the train one station earlier to secure a seat was absolutely brilliant. We truly enjoyed our stay in Nuwara Eliya. Highly recommended!

You feel so safe there. We didn't leave the place for 2 days it was that nice.
