Beautiful views, excellent staff and we loved all the natural beauty of the property. Would stay again on my next visit to Omeptepe. The playa mangos bar and restaurant was wonderful and just a short walk away. We ate breakfast at La Sirenita up top on their covered deck and was delicious. Loved our casita, super comfortable and we slept better than ever. Can't wait to go back. I even had to take an online/interactive 3 hour class for continuing education, and the wifi was excellent the entire time. Sat on my deck overlooking Lake Nicaragua and had a fabulous Zoom class.

We endet up staying longer than planned because we enjoyed it so much! It's a very calm place, clean room anf they let you use the kitchen. The family is also very sweet!

Rustic House Hostel ligt in Moyogalpa, op 36 km van vulkaan Maderas, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin en gratis privéparkeren. Naast een eigen badkamer hebben kamers bij het pension ook gratis WiFi.... Danilo is a lovely host who really made our stay. Rooms are comfortable, bathroom and kitchen are clean. The central garden is so peaceful and there’s a cutie property kitten(we miss you Bonita). We ended up extending a night and getting great recommendations about the island

Hostal Así es mi Tierra ligt in Balgue, op 12 km van vulkaan Maderas, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een terras. We loved the relaxed vibe and how everything is set up and decorated, it's really really beautiful and we enjoyed just sitting around on our porch immensely! the location is great as it's away from the crazy hostel stuff but not too far with tons of great local places near by. Getting to all parts of the island from Balgue was ideal as well and everywhere you turn you see one of the volcanoes since you're right in between them. If you turn right from the place you get back into the main hostel area in a few minutes (on bike) and if you turn left you find really beautiful roadways and scenery and you can get away from all the "traveler" stuff. Cafe compestre is just down the street (2 min walking) where you can get a really really good cappuccino. My boyfriend also got a haircut across the street haha. The food they made us was so so so good (our favorite if we HAD to pick was probably the burritos, and they make some of the best smoothies on the island). we were also able to get our moto bike and kayaking through the family as well, and everything was a really good price and easy. On day 4 or so we found a hole in the tire which they fixed in just a couple hours and they didn't charge us which we really appreciated. There was a power outage one evening (it happens on the island from time to time) and they set us up with a candlelit dinner and we just loved that (picture below). The family who owns this are truly wonderful people and we felt really at home, possibly too at home as we were supposed to stay 5 nights and we stayed 9 or 10 😂. I usually got up early and worked a few hours in the balcony seating area with a coffee or smoothie, so can confirm working here is also no problem. For context, I was working fully online building a webpage with large files so internet needed to be really functioning well, and it was :)

Hostal Bullshark is gelegen in Cuatro Esquinas, op 16 km van vulkaan Maderas, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een terras. Helpfulness and friendliness from the host, the view from the upper balcony was also amazing!

Guest House Nena ligt in Moyogalpa, op 35 km van vulkaan Maderas, en biedt conciërgediensten, kamers, een tuin, gratis WiFi en een terras. I left two pouches with my passport, money, and everything important I was traveling with at the Guest House Nena when I departed to take a ferry back to San Jorge. I had no idea I had left them! They were under a sheet on the bed that I had inadvertently covered them with. After the people at the Guesthouse found my pouches and their valuable contents, they looked around for me, and the young lady from the Nena eventually ended up boarding ferry before we left and asked for me. Fortunately, she found me. I thanked her profusely and gave her a hug. I was extremely happy and grateful to have my stuff and to have adverted a semi-disaster. I owe that girl and the Guest House Nena in Moyogalpa….
