Clean, comfortable, and QUIET (the best sleep I had in weeks). The manager, Houssain (and his lovely girlfriend, Nazanin), and the staff are warm and welcoming. We made good use of the well stocked kitchen to make our own meals. Nice outdoor terrace to hang out and meet other travelers. Great central location.

The area is popular for hiking, and free use of bicycles is available at the homestay. An indoor play area is also available for guests at 228Hostel. I took a bed in a shared dormitory. Very comfortable, clean and big space there. The place also has a lovely sitting area and a kitchen. Everything so nice and clean. Mahmood, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful and we had along with other guests a really good time there. I would've definitely extended my stay if I had the chance but unfortunately I had to leave. Regarding rhe surroundings, so much to see and explore. And the area where the hostel is located is very peaceful and very close to the shops and restaurants

Its a restored ancient house overlooking the green palm groves and situated at the top of the house the famous Rogan Castle built more than 1500 years ago. Amazing Omani hospitality, I can only recommend it!
