I really enjoyed my stay in this accommodation in Jauja. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The shower had good, hot running water with good water pressure, which is not a given in all hotels in this area. But the greatest asset of Hotel Virrey is the family running it. These people are super friendly and accommodating. When we asked how to get to the city center from the hotel (which is a 10 min. walk), the owner offered to take us there by car and showed us the sights. When we needed a taxi to take us to Jauja airport next morning at 4.45 AM (!), the owner insisted that he take us there himself. So if you are looking for a nice, family-run place to stay in Jauja, I can really recommend this hotel

Hostal La Maison Canadiense heeft een buitenzwembad, een tuin, een gedeelde lounge en een terras in San Ramón. The hotel looked fairly new. The room was clean and had all you needed for the stay. The hotel felt very secure as you could only enter the place through closed doors. There was a lovely pool in the small patio. The breakfast was good, what you would expect in Peru. The location was a bit far from the center, but there were lot´s of mototaxis around and the ride into the center was only 1,5 soles per person. The staff was very nice and helpful.
