Hostels in Wulingyuan

Given that the room rates were extremely affordable, I expected no-frills accommodation but was blown away by the quality of our stay. My room was very clean, well-furnished and beautifully decorated. The bed was comfortable, the shower gels felt and smelt really nice, and the amenities (western-style toilet, AC and hairdryer, etc) worked perfectly. The location is also great, away from the noise of the main road but near the food street and within easy access of Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Zhong Chao and Guojun went above and beyond to help make our stay comfortable and convenient. They were always on hand to arrange tickets and rides, patiently answered every random question we had, even had tea with me while waiting for my friend to be ready and helped my friend buy medicine when she got sick. I’ve stayed at many hostels/ hotels around the world, but the service here is by far the most thoughtful, thorough, and sincere I’ve ever received.

The moment you step inside this absolutely AMAZING hostel, you are not just another customer, you are the newest member of this beautiful little family. This place has quickly turned into one of my favourite hostels ever. Emer, the host is not just lovely, she is so knowledgable, helpful, kind, and simply amazing at what she is doing. She will not only help you book your tickets for the parks, she will literally tell you which paths you have to follow in the park. Oh and you get hungry after that? Well, she will order some amazing food for you! Now you're tired? She can make the best coffee I have had in China. Not talking about the large selection of super affordable beers! The hostel has the perfect common area, with strong and reliable wifi, where I got to make some amazing friends, and also, almost everyone ended up extending their stay here, and that will tell you everything about this place. Oh and the rooms are super clean, with a very comfy bed, and again, good wifi! I so wish I could have stayed even longer! Thank you so so much again Emer! This is the first place I'm heading to once I'm back in China!

Our host Ralph was exceptional. He came to find us when we were lost (the google map reference gave a different name) and helped us at every step of the way. He even arranged accommodation for us when we decided to stay an extra night and the hostel was full, and ensured that our bags were moved to the new room.
