I was looking for a social (not party) hostel, and the concept of a family dinner really attracted me. I stayed one night and was amazed by everything! The rooms are spacious, clean, comfy, and have everything you need. The shared areas (toilets, showers, etc.) are just as great—they’re spacious, very clean, and the showers are hot with excellent water pressure. And the staff—OMG, the staff is AMAZING! They are so friendly and incredibly helpful. They know the island well and always have great advice for anything you need. I immediately wanted to extend my stay, but unfortunately for me, they were fully booked. That said, I ended up staying 15 more days on the island and was still able to join the family dinners whenever I wanted, as well as the parties and karaoke nights. I had the most incredible stay on this island thanks to their company, and I will be eternally grateful to them.

Walkable to lots of restaurants and the beach. Has a spacious private beach area outside the room shared only with the other 4 guests. Coffee making facilities was a plus. Good WiFi (when there's no powercut). Great laundry service (best weve had on our trip)

We really enjoyed our stay at gold-star inn, the bed is very comfy and the room/bathroom spotless clean, the family running the business is very friendly and they organized both a scooter rental and transfer to the pier for us. recommended!

Beautiful bungalows in the wood, a typical Filippino/Indonesian style, very clean, full of greenery, a real relax, but still only 6-7 min walking from the main road with bars, restaurants, mini marts and street food. The staff Is very nice, friendly, warm, so I extended my stay for another week. I work online, so I even could continue working. The toilets are clean, the kitchen too, there are all necessary amenities for cooking and eating. Recommended!

We’ve had the most loveliest stay here hosted by the most gorgeous family! Everything you need, clean & gorgeous setting! The host is always on hand for absolutely anything you need throughout your stay, they couldn’t do enough for us! Accommodation complete with great air conditioning, a fan & a kettle! We had so much fun meeting & playing with the host family’s two little girls throughout our stay, we were so sad to leave & say goodbye! Stephen (the host’s brother) took us out on two full day trips in his car, taking us around to everywhere we wanted to see whilst we stayed in Siquijor at a very affordable cost! Stephen’s wife offered a laundry service throughout our stay which was the best laundry we’ve experienced so far across our travels in SEA! Returned the next day with all of the stains from our white clothing disappeared & magically brand new again!! We truly couldn’t recommend enough, the most lovely family to have met & stayed with! We feel super lucky!

Hey Emily from london here soooooo my whole experience at mad monkey was incredible i had the best time and met so many amazing people who will be friends for life! The place is great so clean and fresh and lots of fun and games at night! There’s motorcycles to rent at the place to i rented one for 3 days and ventured round the waterfalls and beaches was so beautiful!! The Staff are just angels i love you guys you were all so very kind to me thank you so much im a solo traveler so meant so much you made me feel so welcome thank you ! I will be back
