I only stayed one night (less than 24 hours) because I needed a place to crash before taking the ferry to Vieques, but if I had the chance I would have stayed more. The hostel is right on the beach, so you can watch the sunrise if you’re an early bird 🌅

Literally couldn’t be better, hostel room was super cozy with complete privacy inside your bunk, and the public spaces were beautiful and really well kept. The photos don’t even do it justice, since they were taken all the surrounding plants and garden has grown into a lush jungle around the main building. One of the owners, Austin, was an absolute pleasure to speak with as are all of the rest of the staff and guests, truly a hub for brilliant people in one of the most untouched an beautiful places I have ever stayed. I can’t wait to come back to El Valle !!

We stayed here as a compromise between my desire to stay somewhere off the beaten path, and my partners desire to spend time in Negril. It was a short drive to Negril and I really felt like I got to see a different side of Jamaica.
