I arrived late after a really rough couple days and I was immediately received by Igor, the owner, with a big smile and heart. He first offered me coffee and after showing me the place we drank Rakija, in about an hour I had already stopped caring about everything that was troubling my mind and was just able to enjoy a nice night with him and a couple other guests. For Igor, as he later explained to me, his hostel is more than just a place to spend a night in. He has a philosophy of hospitality that goes beyond mere accomodation. The common area is a place of friendliness and freedom where, unless you are intolerant, you'll be able to debate just about anything; everyone, no matter where they come from or where are they heading, will feel welcomed. Due to Sarajewo's historical significance and Bosnia's lax touristic visa requirements I was able to meet people from all around the world, and thanks to Igor's good vibes the intercultural exchange is, from the get go, an ideal put into practice. Showers, bathrooms, linen and beds were excellent too, but that's secondary to the experience. I ended up extending my stay in Bosnia two more weeks and volunteering as well. živjeli Igor, živjeli The Good Place, živjeli Yugoslavija. ✊🏻

Hostel Kucha ligt in Sarajevo, op slechts 700 meter van het stadscentrum. Het hostel is hoog gelegen, waardoor het een mooi uitzicht biedt op de stad en de omliggende heuvels. Hostel looked nice and was relatively calm. Appreciated great coffe and nice staff.

Alfar House ligt in Sarajevo, op 11 km van Tunnel van Sarajevo en 7 minuten lopen van Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque in Sarajevo. The bed was so comfortable and warm. The owner is welcoming and responsive. Also the location is great, only 2 minutes from tram station and city hall, old town. Fully equipped kitchen is very nice for travelers.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hostel Bobito in Sarajevo. The place was clean, cozy, and peaceful — a perfect spot to relax after exploring the city. The hosts were friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. When someone canceled, they kindly helped me stay for an extra night, which I really appreciated. I loved spending time in their lovely garden with great views of Sarajevo. The shared kitchen was convenient, and the dorm rooms were comfortable. I’m actually coming back in a couple of days because I loved it so much! Overall, Hostel Bobito felt like a calm and comfortable home away from home at a great price.

The location is unbeatable – right in the heart of Sarajevo, close to everything you could possibly need. The space was clean and well-maintained, making it incredibly comfortable. Harun was an amazing host – super friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with recommendations or anything during our stay. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sarajevo!

One Love 2 is gelegen in Sarajevo, op 12 km van Tunnel van Sarajevo en 15 minuten lopen van Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque in Sarajevo. The bed was very comfy I could sleep non-stop. I just needed to sleep but the facilities were also okay. The host was very friendly and helping people. I would prefer here again if I come to Bosnia again.

FG Boutique Hostel is gelegen in het centrum van Sarajevo, op 7 minuten lopen van Fontein van Sebilj en 600 meter van Bascarsija-straat. Very nice 100% Arabic male staff and Arab hosts (2 brothers and big family living next-door). All very welcoming and friendly!
