The staff was realy good, especially for Sara, she was so very kind to us when the first time we arrive at hostel, she arrange our room and explain all the facilities to us. We like all the facilities espesially the kitchen, we saw everybody cook and eat together in the same room. It was so warm. The room it's so great with mointain view. This is recomended for family travelling.

You can even make a bonfire near the hostel. You won't be dissapointed :)

Located in a quiet, but central area in Grindelwald, 350 metres from the Firstbahn and Männlichenbahn Cable Cars, Lehmann's Herberge Hostel offers accommodation in a traditional Swiss chalet, with free WiFi and free ski storage. It also features panoramic views of the local mountains. Before check-in, I was a bit nervous because I had read some reviews suggesting the host could be intimidating. However, I found the host to be friendly and even humorous when explaining some things to take note of. It just goes to show that if you show respect and consideration, others will often respond in kind. Make sure to fill out the form requested by the host, which can be found in the email or inbox of the booking website. One day, I lost my room key and went to the main area hoping to find it. The hosts told me I had accidentally left it on the table after breakfast and they had kept it for me. Instead of scolding me, they simply explained what had happened, which I really appreciated. The room was cosy, the bed comfortable, and the blanket thick enough to keep me warm. Breakfast was great too! I especially loved the homemade yoghurt and fruit salad. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to interact much with the hosts during breakfast since I left early for Männlichen and First on two of the days. You can politely ask the hosts if you can have breakfast earlier, and they might even prepare packed food for you! On my last day, I was using my phone to check where to go and arrange transportation to Milan. Until I finished and left, I only noticed the banner at the door requesting no phone use in the dining area, as I think the hosts prefer human interaction and a break from devices. I regret not noticing this sooner, and I hope to return next time to interact more with the hosts! Lastly, the location is fantastic! When I opened the window, I was greeted with beautiful views. Thank you again for making my trip so memorable!

We enjoyed our stay at an incredibly accommodating hostel, complete with a picturesque garden and a pond graced by sizable fish. The highlight was the option to barbecue, an opportunity we naturally seized. We opted for a room with a shared bathroom, which pleasantly surprised us with its smart system. This intuitive system allowed us to control the lights and even set up music using an iPad, enhancing our convenience. The beds provided exceptional comfort, and the thoughtfully equipped kitchen elevated our experience. Additionally, the laundry facilities, available for a mere 8 CHF, were a practical bonus. Walter, the epitome of a welcoming and easygoing host, extended an immediate sense of belonging. We're sincerely appreciative of the warm hospitality and undoubtedly look forward to returning in the future.

Offering a restaurant, a bar and a terrace where guests can dine during summer, Happy Inn Lodge is located in Interlaken’s centre. In winter, a shuttle service to the surrounding ski areas is provided. Free WiFi is available in all areas of the hostel. Staff, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, Internet. All perfect. Spent 7 days there and had a lot of fun. Their restaurant is also great. They made me the best caipirinha I ever had in Europe.
