The play area outside and activities were so good for the kids and the views from the lodge are just very special. You won't regret going up and staying virtually on your own. Backpackers Luzern offers accommodation in a quiet area on the shores of Lake Lucerne. There is a shared kitchen and a common lounge area with a tabletop football table at the property. The place is well organized, nicely decorated, feels cozy. Nobody bothers nobody. It is a 12 min fast paced walk away from the station. The rooms are close to the showers and toilets. There are 2 kitchens for cooking meals. Books, boardgames etc available. Tiny bar inside at the reception. The place overall is very clean and well kept.

Very friendly family that runs the hotel/hostel. Because it was still low season we got a free upgrade to a better room which is always a nice surprise. The room was very comfortable and the location is fantastic. There is also a lovely little common area where you can watch TV and enjoy a free selection of teas.
