The staff were always kind and helpful. They give you a Guest Card, which is super useful for getting around Interlaken. The train station is just a short walk away, and everything else, shops, restaurants, and a beautiful river is nearby. The views from the hostel are stunning. Definitely a place I’d love to visit again.

The bright rooms of the Funny Farm hostel are simply furnished and decorated in different colours. Some include private en-suite bathrooms, others have shared facilities. Very cool building, I felt like I was transported to the early XX century. Cute dog and cat too.

The common terrace offers fantastic view to the famous mountains Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains. The hotel was good for what I was looking for. It was a short notice trip and I was happy to get it. The only knock for me was the breakfast. It was just ok but the food was not prepared very well in my eyes…..soggy bacon, runny eggs, and the fruit was very limited. I ended up just having cereal and toast but the charge was 17 Euros a piece
