Great place for families with kids. We even got invited to the dinner with Juan - the owner of the property, and his wonderful wife and friends. Plus we also got a free excursion in the sorrounding garden where Juan grows mangos, avocados, blackberries and meny other fruits. Absolutely recommend.

This was a really nice hostel to stay at, it was really chilled, the rooms and beds were comfortable and the lady and her boyfriend who ran it were really nice. They also had a good kitchen and the outside area was pretty.

The place honestly surprised me in the best way. The staff were insanely helpful — anything I needed, they handled right away and always with a great attitude. I really felt welcomed and taken care of the whole time.
Wish more places worked like this. Totally recommend.

I highly recommend this lodge, especially because you can spot sloths right in the garden! Imagine spending dozens of dollars on a tour and possibly not seeing one, but here, on my second day around noon, I saw a sloth for free, up in the trees. I didn’t have binoculars with me, but the kind lodge owner brought out a high-powered camera, and I got to watch the sloth move and sleep up close. If you love peace and quiet, falling asleep to the sound of a babbling stream, and waking up to birdsong, this place is perfect. Plus, you can use the kitchen for free, and it’s super clean. Best of all, everyone here is incredibly kind and welcoming

Pura Vibra is still a new hostel however it was a great find, the owner is so lovely and makes the place feel like home. We got so many great tips about the area and a lot of info on the cheaper or free things to do in and around town.
Coffee and tea served each morning and full privacy blinds with a fan in each bunk, luxury when you are backpacking. The place was spotless clean and the kitchen was well stocked - they even had an ice machine!! We loved their little dog too.
