The place was clean, comfortable, and quiet, which made it perfect for the work I needed to get done and for resting after a long flight (they even let me check in early upon arrival, which was greatly appreciated). The wifi was good and stable, which was a huge plus. I had to catch an early bus the next morning, way before breakfast time, and the lady was kind to leave me some basic breakfast items (cereal, milk, banana, and bread) in the kitchen the night before. Although I didn’t leave the hostel, I saw on the map that it was very well located with shops and restaurants nearby. Highly recommend this place!

At the hostel, all rooms are equipped with a wardrobe. Rooms are complete with a private bathroom equipped with a shower, the units at Ester`s Place have a flat-screen TV and air conditioning, and some rooms come with a balcony. The location was wonderful. Very close to everything you like to see in San José! Very nice and quiet neigborhood though!

The rooms in the hostel are equipped with a coffee machine. With a private bathroom fitted with a shower and a hairdryer, rooms at Casa Colibri Chirripó also boast a mountain view. Absolutely perfect place in San Jose to stay. Breakfast was yummy, with coffee. Not a party hostel or whatever so it was really good to rest and have some space for yourself. I had some troubles with a booking in Santa Teresa and the staff has been extremely helpful in assisting me to sort it out.
