Hostels in San José

I had a great nights stay before my flight home, the bed was super comfy and the dorm room had lockers, towels, curtains round the beds, individual lights and plug sockets, and I felt like I had a lot of privacy. The shower was lovely with hot water. I loved the decoration of the hostel, clearly a lot of thought and love has been put into it. The common areas were cosy and the kitchen clean and well equipped. Breakfast was small but tasty and appreciated for the price paid. I felt very safe staying here.

Great apartment in a great location. It was our first stop in Costa Rica and we can recommend this place to all tourists who arrive to the country. Plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes in the neighborhood (within 5 minutes walk) in a safe area. It is a 30 minutes walk to the downtown. Apartment and the building are new. Easy to get there by taxi from the airport.

A beautiful hostel, feels more like a boutique hotel. Or a home away from home. Everything is so pretty and sparkling clean. Delicious breakfast. Great location. And the host and staff are absolutely lovely, they really look after you. Could not recommend this place more.

+ Prívate room was nice and big. Fan to keep cool but was not really needed when we stayed. + Bathrooms were clean + Able to use facilities in partner hostel. Kitchen was good and nice pool. + Quiet and felt safe

Perfect stay! Great location, comfy bed, warm shower, free coffee and you can use the facilities from the backpacker hostel (pool, restaurant) on the opposite side of the street

Friendly staff, super clean hostel, nice new and clean rooms, bathrooms and kitchen. Bed was also super comfy and room temp perfect. Great location near bus terminals and felt safe inside hostel. The kitchen has free tea and coffee and a breakfast that starts at 5am so you can eat before an early journey. They even offer pizza for 5000 colones.
