Base Camp Snowdonia, Gwersyll Cyntaf Eryri beschikt over een gedeelde lounge, en bevindt zich in Betws-y-Coed in de regio Clwyd, op 19 km van Snowdon en 25 km van Snowdon Mountain Railway. This is a very nice hostel. Very cosy and very comfy 24/7 facilities. It is possible to self check in at any hour, and there is basic food to purchase in the kitchen too at any hour - quite handy (tea, coffee, beer, oatmeal, instant noodle etc). The common area is very neat and nice - i spent quite a lot of time there, chilling after a hike, cooking and eating food and even working on my laptop. I stayed in a female only dorm, that has 6 comfy beds, and there were 2 toilets and 2 showers just for our room, so i never had to wait to have a shower etc. There are hair dryers available, and a whole separate drying room both for laundry and wet clothes after a hike. Beds were perfect, pillows were perfect, not creaky as in some dorms. With very good quality bedsheets and towels. Overall, if i am in betws y coed again, i will certainly stay in Gwersyll Cyntaf Eryri.

Nick at the desk is great - awesome personality. Michael gave me some suggestions on where to visit next. Bunks are very comfy & cozy & there is plenty of room to sit up!, which is rare. Privacy curtains are great. Two pillows - I love that. There is a cafe so close - see photo (circled. Location is great - right across from a nature walk. A very very nice stay & I even extended another night. Book direct. A quick bus ride to Betws-y-Coed for more natural parks. I would definitely stay here again.

Lodge Dinorwig Hostel is gelegen in Llanberis, op 7 km van Snowdon Mountain Railway, en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. These people are the best, super friendly and helpfull all the time. The have a really good menu so everyone will have something they like, doesn't matter if it's for breakfast or diner. Event the lunch package was really good and plenty for me at least! They have plenty of advise to give on the region since they are also hikers. The bunkbeds have a seperate light and one plug to charge your stuff. I had good nights there

Placed at the foot of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), the YHA Snowdon Pen-y-Pass is surrounded by stunning Welsh landscape in a rural location, with no mobile phone signal - offering guests a break from... super cute place and literally right at the beginning of the trail to hike snowdon! nice restaurant and felt cozy like a cabin!

Toad Hall Hostel bevindt zich in Machynlleth, op 30 km van Aberystwyth Golf Club en 30 km van Clarach Bay. We hebben bij het bekijken van het hostel besloten er niet te overnachten, omdat het interieur van het hostel ons niet aanstond. Zelden zoveel rommel en allerlei verschillende meubelen bij elkaar gezien. Mogelijk was het linnengoed wel goed schoon, dat hebben we na het zien van keuken, badkamer en openstaande slaapkamers niet meer bekeken. Er was in of bij het hostel niemand aanwezig (14:00). We hebben via Booking.com laten weten dat we i zo'n hostel niet wensten te overnachten. De host was zo vriendelijk om ons, na aftrek van zijn commissie, de helft van de kosten terug te betalen. Dat was, gelet op de voorwaarden, niet nodig. Wel correct!

The Landlord couple are very kind. I need to go bangor to take the train, but I missed the bus. When I walked to Bangor, they saw me and took me to the Bangor railway station.
