Galway City Hostel - Solo Traveller Hostel ligt naast het trein- en busstation van Galway en kijkt uit op Eyre Square. The property was in an excellent location, just a few minutes walk from the train and bus stations and the main square. It’s very central, you can comfortably walk to all the key points in Galway. The dorms had comfortable layouts and the facilities were always clean. The staff are awesome, trying to get everyone mingling about and helping with tips! The breakfast spread was superb, too!

Glengarriff Hostel ligt in Glengarriff, op 26 km van Hungry Hill, en biedt een gedeelde lounge, rookvrije kamers, gratis WiFi en een terras. Eerlijk gezegd zag ik er wat tegenop om in een hostel te overnachten, maar het overtrof mijnverwachtingen: schoon, vriendelijk personeel en redelijke privacy door gordijntjes voor het bed en een eigen kluisje. Handdoeken waren beschikbaar.

Éalú Lodge bevindt zich in Sligo, op 6 minuten lopen van Sligo Abbey en 800 meter van Yeats Memorial Building, en biedt accommodatie met een gedeelde lounge, gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie en... Prettige ontvangst door enthousiaste jongedame. Mooie, moderne, goed afgewerkte inrichting. Geen sleutels, maar nummers.

Kilcommon Lodge Holiday Hostel bevindt zich in Belmullet, op 37 km van Ballycroy National Park, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een gedeelde lounge. Alles was top de mevrouw die ons bij binnenkomst begroeten was super vriendelijk de kamer was netjes en schoon. In de keuken heb je allemaal eten dat je kan pakken voor je ontbijt alle faciliteiten zijn er die je nodig hebt en dat voor maar 30 euro pp . Ik raad deze plek zeer aan

Direct Travel Stays is gelegen in Cork, op 17 minuten lopen van University College Cork, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een gedeelde lounge. I couldn’t be more satisfied with my stay. Sean went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect from start to finish. The facilities were immaculate, comfortable, and exactly as described. I would highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Cork.

The Nest Boutique Hostel offers a majority of double and twin ensuite rooms which have comfy beds, soft linen, power showers, fridges and contemporary Irish art work. Super fijne omgeving, alles wat je nodig hebt en leuke gezellige mensen!

The Black Sheep Hostel ligt in Killarney, op 2 minuten lopen van St Mary's Cathedral, en biedt conciërgediensten, rookvrije kamers, een tuin, gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie en een gedeelde... - great atmosphere in the hostel (feels like home full of friends, everyone is so kind and helpful to each other) - there is breakfast included in the price - rooms are very spacious with very comfortable beds, I love the "comfy" ladder that leads me to the upper bunk bed - very solid construction of bunk beds, I wasn't stressed that it would collapse when I went up to my bed (at other hostels it sometimes creates weird noises or the bed is crazily moving) - The hostel has a great living room area with a small library, a great dining room with a lot of comfortable seats around, a spacious kitchen - The people who work there are the coolest people ever, will always answer your questions and give you the best recommendations - that place is SO CLEAN!

Het Aille River Tourist Hostel and Campsite Doolin ligt aan de Wild Atlantic Way en is een toeristische accommodatie met een mix van originele kenmerken en moderne gemakken, zoals gratis glasvezel... Great facility and location. Just super cute and cozy. Great parking, and very clean. Lovely and helpful staff. Thanks again.

WINNER: Best Hostel in Ireland 2025 Kinlay has also been featured as a Top Choice in an edition of Lonely Planet, Kinlay Hostel is a standout stay in the heart of Galway City. This was honestly the best hostel experience I’ve ever had. It was easy to find and easy to access reception. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. Upon arriving the receptionist gave us a map of bars to listen to music at, and even added his own favorite. We were not in the mood for something crazy but following the route we were presented with everything good Galway has to offer; from trad music, to sing-along-to-wonderwall, to ending the night at the receptionist favorite bar where we could rewind and end the night on a lullaby. The room were very clean, the beds sturdy (so when you climb to the top bed, you don’t move the whole bed) and all beds had curtains for privacy. The doors seemed to hold all sound out, so the rooms were very quiet. The toilets and showers were super clean. The showers were small cubicles, so you could go in and place your stuff on a small stool and then hop in the shower, which was great for privacy. The breakfast was good, lots of option and A+ for also offering other types of coffee like latte, flat white etc. (all from machine, but still). Fruit was available all the time, which was so nice. All in all just had a really great one night stay, and if we could’ve taken the Kinlay with us through the rest of Ireland, then we would’ve!
