We were looking for a clean, calm, quiet, non-smoking, non-drinking place to stay. And we found it here! We loved much natural light through windows (I don't feel comfortable in rooms without windows and I am sure that many foreigners feel like me.) We kept the windows open and enjoyed the clean and fresh air. The environment is so quiet, that most of the time we could enjoy the eagles' voice. A mosque is nearby, you can listen to their prayers, too. We didn't mind it at all. The location is not central, but if you are looking for a calm and peaceful stay, you can find it here, and can reach sights easily. We rented a bike for transportation during our holiday. No smoking and no alcohol is our basic lifestyle and we are happy, that we could find a place where we could avoid smoking and drinking people. Both the room and bathroom were spacious and very clean. We liked the nice interiors and simple decoration. The bed was comfortable with a special mattress. As a guest in Moonshine Homestay you become a part of a loving and caring family. We got much help, even before our arrival. Thank you for all recommendations and advice. We hope we can go back soon.

The homestay was clean, well-equipped with electric blankets and hot water, and surprisingly affordable, with a prime city-centre location.

Backpackers Station is gelegen in Jammu, op 15 km van station Jammu Tawi, en biedt een tuin, rookvrije kamers, gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie en een gedeelde lounge. De kamers hebben een balkon. The premises are clean, organised, well-equipped and ventilated along with a WiFi. The hosts are warm and responsive. They are fairly receptive and are constantly upgrading their facilities on the basis of feedback and otherwise. The manager/caretaker Bhupinder uncle is a delightful person, helpful and reasonably flexible. They offer help in navigation to the hostel and elsewhere if the need be. There's a budget restaurant right there. The spacious lounge area and garden adds to the experience. Kudos to Ashish (owner) for conceiving and knitting it all together. All in all, it's a pleasant experience worth revisiting.

Whostels was very clean and cozy, and the staff were all very attentive and warm. The staff immediately assisted with whatever questions we had and were very friendly throughout our few days. The location is great. It is in a very accessible location to the gardens and Dal lake (walkable). For transit, I recommend sharing the street name and locality, rather the name of hostel with taxis and rickshaws for easiest access. We had no trouble reaching all of our desired locations in Srinagar, but it was nice to be off main roads in a quiet village area. The breakfast was also very good 🙏🏻
