Wished I could have stayed another day to enjoy the cafe and watch the sunset when it wasn't cloudy.

If you are planning on cycling the Shimanami Kaido (and even if you aren’t!) I’d highly recommend taking a detour from the main route and spending some time here.

The property is non-smoking and is set 32 km from Saikon-ji Temple. Nice location! It is close to the bridge and a konbini. The check-in was smooth. The staff who served us did a great job. She explained things clearly, and there was no communication issue as well. Kudos to her! The cabin and public area (cafe, lockers, toilet, shower, garage, and laundrymart) were excellent. It was clean, tidy, and spacey. They provide nice amenities. I loved the dinner set as well; it was filling and tasty! Lastly, as a smoker, I really appreciate that they have a smoking area at the front of the hostel/the corner of the garage. Overall, I got what I needed and had a great time in this hostel. I think this hostel is the best hostel I've ever been to.

Tottori Airport is 21 km away. Owner is a super friendly and chill guy, great to have drinks with. The room i stayed in was a traditional one with tatami floors and a futon bed; both weren't too hard yet comfortable enough.

Hostel Mallika is located in the Hiroshima City Centre district in Hiroshima, 400 metres from Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and 700 metres from Atomic Bomb Dome. Hostel Mallika features free WiFi throughout the property. very close to the Hiroshima peace park and also the boat to Miyajima. stayed in the 4 bed room. the pull out beds were better than they looked in the picture.
