El Piece Hostel Sanjo ofrece habitaciones privadas y compartidas en pleno centro de Kioto. Cuenta con un salón y una terraza de diseño moderno. Tiene espacios comunes excelentes con todo lo necesario y muy bien ambientados. La terraza está genial. La cocina muy bien equipada y amplia. El conchon cómodo y la habitación contaba con TV smart. Pude ver YouTube y poner música.

El Piece Hostel Kyoto, inaugurado en abril de 2013, ofrece instalaciones totalmente nuevas en una ubicación excelente, a solo 5 minutos a pie de la estación de tren JR de Kioto. La ubicación es grandiosa, muy central y fácil de llegar caminando. Las instalaciones estaban muy limpias y eran muy modernas, pero lejos lo mejor fue el tamaño de las camas, eran gigantes y muy cómodas!

More traditional home style which I preferred. Toru was very nice, helpful, and informative. I liked the nice shared common space that made a communal feeling even though you had a private room. I slept very well!

A 5-minute walk from Higashiyama Subway Station, Guest House Ga-Jyun features free Wi-Fi at the entire property. The wooden terrace has chairs overlooking the garden. We are small house with 5 rooms. The location is great. The breakfast is amazing. The owner is so nice. He can speak a bit of English, Spanish and Portugués. The shower is very good. All the staff is nice. Comfortable bed 👍🏻

El Guest House Gojo se encuentra a 15 minutos a pie del templo de Kiyomizu-dera y del santuario de Yasaka. Muy lindo hostel, con un área común que funciona como cafetería durante el dia muy linda! Relación precio calidad 10 de 10!

Rinn Hostel Miyagawacho, que está a 4 min a pie de Estación de tren Gion Shijo y a 1,3 km de Samurai Kembu en Kyoto, ofrece habitaciones con aire acondicionado y baño privado en Kioto. El alojamiento es muy espacioso en un barrio tranquilo pero con oferta muy buena para comer y cenar, en frente del Río y cerca del metro y de un seven eleven. Está a 10 minutos de muchos sitios de interés, andando. Muy recomendable para disfrutar del barrio de Gion y alrededores. Buena atención, lavandería gratuita y detalles de la habitación con cocina, para estar a gusto varios días.

Shin San is very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The property has everything you need for a pleasant stay and is conveniently located, with a train station and bus stop nearby. I felt very comfortable and well taken care of throughout my stay.

We spent 7 nights at this guesthouse, and it was an important part of our wonderful experience in Kyoto. The couple that runs the guesthouse became friends with us. They fed us a delicious breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast, and cabbage salad, which we enjoyed every morning. We had a great time talking with the wife (who can speak English conversationally) every morning, as well as the three other couples who came and went during our long stay. This guesthouse is definitely for people who enjoy the experience of meeting other travelers, want to learn about Japan from their hosts, are looking for a getaway from the big cities, and don't mind walking about 20 minutes to and 20 minutes from (uphill) the closest train station. It's not for people who want a reclusive getaway, don't like walking long distances, are looking for a normal hotel experience, or can't navigate steep stairsteps. This guesthouse allows you to live around the locals in a quiet, non-touristy neighborhood. Our twin room was very spacious compared to our budget hotel room in Tokyo, had a traditional feel to it, and was quite comfortable on hot days with the wall-mounted AC. Going to the bathroom or toilet room does involve walking a few steps out onto the balcony attached to your room, but with the house being high in the hills, it still feels reasonably private. This guest room is next to the one other guest room at this property, so you do need to be aware of noise levels. Below the guest rooms is a vacant art gallery space that serves as a large common area that's currently available to guests but may not always be if it's being used as a gallery. Attached to the gallery is a large patio with a view of Kyoto — a great place to sit in the morning or while eating dinner. If you're looking for a wonderful stay in Kyoto that's a little out of the ordinary, and you're an active traveler that wants to experience the non-touristy side of the city, this may be your place.
