If I visit Utsunomiya again, I will definitely stay at this guesthouse. Highly recommended!

Guest rooms in the hostel are equipped with a kettle. All units will provide guests with a fridge. The owner doesn't live onsite but arrived later to check that everything was okay. He was really kind, gave me an extra blanket, showed me how to use the heating in the dorm room and gave the kitchen a tidy and clean. It's a basic place but functional, a good budget overnight stop. Walking distance from Oyama station if you're light on luggage. There's a convenience store about ten minutes walk away but no other food options that I could see.
