Hostel Casa Xtakay is gelegen in Valladolid, op 45 km van Chichén Itzá, en biedt een tuin, rookvrije kamers, en gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie. We had an amazing time in the hostel. Luís and his family were very welcoming. It was easy to communicate with them before the arrival and helped with any questions we had. They even let us check in much earlier without being charged with any extra fees. The room itself was wonderful, always very clean, spacious, with beautiful French windows and a very cozy balcony. The common areas had great vibes and atmosphere, as well. Luís’ wife made amazing, traditional breakfasts and there was tea, coffee and water available for free throughout the day. Luís and his son, Jonathan gave us great tips when it came to programmes, restaurants and food. They even gave us coupons which we could us at the cenotes for free drinks and lockers. The bicycle rental was very affordable and handy, and we received all the help to find the safest and shortest routes for our destinations. We felt very welcomed the whole time and had the impression that we are part of the family. We fell in love with Valladolid, we felt like we could have stayed more and would 100% come back to the hostel!

Casa Amate 61 - Mérida centro is goed gelegen in het centrum van Mérida, en biedt kamers met airconditioning, een buitenzwembad, gratis WiFi en een tuin. This is the best hotel/hostel I have ever stayed at. It felt like a tiny resort somewhere in the dessert. It is located 20 min walk from the center. It’s also quiet so you can work by the pool and head out to town in the evening when the temperature goes down

Very friendly staff and great location, an oasis in the middle of the town. Great with free coffee in the morning. Clean and quiet with good WiFi. The staff provided useful information about sights and things to do. If I ever came back to Valladolid I would stay here again.

Het is een mooi klein gebouw met ongeveer 6 privé kamers en ongeveer 6 dorms. Het zwembad en de bar liggen recht voor de kamers en dat maakt het gezellig. Personeel is erg vriendelijk en ze hadden zelfs een kleine verassing op onze kamer omdat wij op een bijzonder reis waren. Alles zag er erg schoon en fris uit. Iedere dag werd de kamer schoongemaakt. Er werden activiteiten georganiseerd met het was met ons erg rustig vanwege het laagseizoen. 10/10 als ik 1 minpunt MOET bedenken zijn het de hanen die de hele nacht door (ongeveer om het uur) even laten weten dat ze er zijn. De hanen zijn van de buren en hier kan het hostel helemaal niks aan doen maar als je een lichte slaper bent zijn oordoppen wel handig!

First off, the hotel’s location is super convenient, just a short walk from the bus station, making our arrival in Valladolid a breeze. Our private room was a good size and comfortable, and we really appreciated the cold water filter at reception. While they offered social events, we were so busy exploring we didn’t have time to join in. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about the area, cenotes, and how to get to Chichen Itza. They offered great deals and discounts for cenote visits, which saved us money and even scored us free drinks. Originally, we had planned to do their transport tour, but the option to rent a scooter and explore on our own—avoiding the crowds—was a game-changer and made our trip so much more memorable. We genuinely feel that booking here helped us get the most out of Valladolid

Hostal La Ermita ligt in Mérida, op 6 minuten lopen van Busstation Merida, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een terras. All of the staff members have been exceptional and accommodating. Every morning, the same woman who cleans the hostel also offers fresh fruit to the guests and cuts them up herself (there have been watermelon, papaya and pineapple in the 6 days that I have been here). This woman deserves our tips for working so hard. There is plenty of fresh coffee with milk and sugar if needed, bread, butter, clean drinking water, fruit, jelly and dishes and utensils to use. You can also cook your own food in the 24 hours a day kitchen. They keep everything incredibly clean and the grounds are beautiful with even a swimming pool, plenty of dorms with lockers and locks and a private bathroom in the female dorm - most nights I had the dorm to myself. There are massive amounts of lounge chairs, hammocks, trees and grounds to have your own space and not feel suffocated, crowded and overwhelmed. It is pleasantly quiet here as well. It is absolutely beautiful and relaxing here and you cannot get this type of hospitality in the U.S. or virtually anywhere. After many travels, I can honestly say that this is the best hostel that I have ever stayed in.
