I had the best time with Tony and Daniela, they were very kind, welcoming and warm. They make you feel part of their family and have so many stories to tell. Daniela makes THE BEST breakfasts (I miss them). If I go back to Ometepe I'm definitely staying with them again. The room was nice and clean and at night you can hear a symphony of crickets and other elements of nature due to being away from the city. A really nice experience. Also, there's a beach right outside the hostel where you can see the most beautiful sunsets. It's a bit far from the center of the town (a 20 min walk) which is not too bad, just something to take into consideration. If you're renting a bike like most people do it's not going to make a difference for you, but I was on foot. Fortunately, Tony was very kind and picked me up on a motorbike at the port and took me back at the end of my stay.

No puedo más que decir que estuvimos 4 días en la isla que nos encantó, al igual que el hotel, está cuidado al detalle, tanto los jardines y las habitaciones, con el plus de la amabilidad de Patricia, la dueña, está siempre dispuesta a ayudarte y darte toda la información que precises, sin duda si vuelvo a la isla repetiría. P.D me vine con ganas de apostatar🤣🤣🤣

Hostel Life is Good está en Moyogalpa, a 39 km de Volcán Maderas, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, salón de uso común y terraza. I loved the atmosphere of the hostel. In the evening time they had candles everywhere and lights. It was so beautiful. They also have a lookout place where you can see the volcano during the day and stars at night time. It was a super quiet and chill place. They also had kitties which is a big bonus.

It was friendly, quite the garden was a nice place to relax .the breakfast was really nice and included in the price. It was about a 15-minute walk from town.

El Zopilote Permaculture Farm/hostel es un albergue para mochileros y una granja de permacultura al mismo tiempo. Me encantó el sonido de los animales, pájaros ,grillos e incluso monos!! El personal es muy cálido y agradable

Hostal Casa Moreno tiene piscina al aire libre, jardín, salón de uso común y terraza en Moyogalpa. Este albergue de 3 estrellas ofrece bar. Friendly staff and great location.

Raindance se encuentra en Santa Cruz y ofrece alojamiento con piscina al aire libre, jardín y bar frente a la playa, a 19 min a pie de Playa de Santo Domingo. It’s social and the dorms and the bed are really nice with a lot of privacy

Rainbow Caravan Hostel está en Las Pilas, a 17 km de Volcán Maderas, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, salón de uso común y restaurante. The uniqueness of the hostel is unreal. The authenticity and the little bit of magic that is here makes this place an amazing stay! By far coolest hostel. Having a nice big kitchen and fire pit makes it feel like home. The animals and the fruit trees. The stories about each of the caravans. If your looking for a vibe this is it!

B&B, family run homestay, Hospedaje La Penita se encuentra en Altagracia, a 16 km de Volcán Maderas, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, salón de uso común y terraza. Learned this was one of the original hostels on Ometepe. Breakfasts and dinners were freshly prepared with local ingredients. Their dogs and cats were very nice to spend time with. The hosts can lease scooters and deliver them for competitive prices. Communication with host prior to and during stay was excellent.
