Newly opened and refurbished in October 2020, Wanderlust NZ is a waterfront hostel located in a historical building in downtown Tauranga. All the common areas are clean and tidy. The staff is friendly and always helpful. The location is good: it's near the intercity bus stop and the bus to go to the mount. There's cafes and bars all around it so it also makes it perfect for WHV looking for a job in the area

Rotorua Downtown Backpackers is a modern hostel is located in the heart of Rotorua across the road from the I-Site and major bus lines. This was the third time staying at this hostel. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, kitchen and toilets are always very clean, the bed was very comfortable.

Located on a quiet street opposite Blake Park, Seagulls Guesthouse offers free fibre WiFi and is a 5-minute walk from Mount Maunganui Beach. Comfy bed, clean room, very clean premises in general.

Explore Rotorua’s natural beauty and cultural gems while enjoying comfortable and stylish accommodation at Haka House Rotorua. Absolutely great place to stay. Lovely staff who kept the place spotless clean, big kitchen, enough shelf and fridge space (even with some big groups showing up at the hostel), and a good lounge. Would definitely stay here again :)
