I have been traveling for many, many years, in South America, Europe and Asia. I mostly sleep in hostels in shared rooms, and I would like to recommend the Justwalk Hostel in Hualien, Taiwan. The owner welcomes guests and helps with everything. The hostel is amazing in its beauty, clean and practical design, the best I have seen to date.

The hostel furniture was brand new. Big bathrooms with large and modern showers. There was also a big washing machine where you could wash your clothes for just 40NTD (laundry soap included). The staff was extremely nice; even though English was not their strength, they were always available to help us and meet our needs. They offered us free snacks throughout the stay, which was very much appreciated. The location is ok, you have everything you need just a few minutes of walk away.

Awesome place. Really cute and cozy lounge area and spacious bunk rooms. Walkable to the station. They had 3 bikes for guests to take around town and the best part was riding them around the gorgeous bike path close by. Highly recommend.

It's walking distance from Hualien station & laundry store. The staff is friendly and patient in answering our inquiries prior to the arrival and provides taxi booking to the night market as well.

Everything is so well-designed and thought-out, and the owners clearly haven’t skimped on anything. Everything is super high quality and when you need something, you’ll happen to find it immediately. Probably the most beautiful interior design in the 50-odd hostels I’ve stayed at before, too. Cool staff and friends of staff and owner, too.

World Inn 窩二樓小客棧民宿 está en Hualien, a 2,8 km de Playa de Beibin Park, y tiene salón de uso común, habitaciones libres de humo y wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento. Great location - less than 5 minutes walk from the train station. Close to main street and also close to a 24h laundry service, which is really useful. Staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. They have listed all the eateries on Google maps and were generally helpful with information. They also spoke excellent English, which is really nice when as a foreigner you don't speak much Chinese. The hostel is quiet and extremely clean - while I'm used to well-cleaned accommodation in Taiwan, this was just extra level. Bathrooms and toilets were especially clean. Dorms were quiet and comfortable. Not too much aircondition that would make it cold, and also not too little which would make it hot or smelly with many people sleeping at the same time. Each bed had a spacious locker (not for a huge backpack, but more than enough for a small/mid-size one and valuables. Also a curtain to give you almost complete privacy, good bed lamp and power sockets. Small but convenient kitchen. Good to have reusable slippers, better for the environment. Hostel also has a café where you can buy coffee and some cakes.
