La Quinta Hostel Bar is located in La Barra, Punta del Este. The establishment is located 10 km from downtown Punta del Este and "Los Dedos" beach, 5 km from Manantiales and 20 km from José Ignacio. Very nice staff and especially welcoming at our arrival. Nice and calm atmosphere throughout our stay (in November). Good room with everything you need. A variety of board games and such available. Definitely would come back and can hence be recommended!

I’m traveling for 6 months and this was by far the best hostel I stayed in. The staff became like friends and the atmosphere is amazing. If you image a surfculture, this has the surfculture. The ultimate place to come to rest, close to a perfect beach and the nice streets of la barra. I would recommend this hostel all day to people. Mundaka Hostel y Bar features a large garden with an outdoor pool. The hostel has free WiFi access in all areas. Great location, nice pool and restaurant. Staff is incredible friendly, you will feel like home. I would definitely stay here again.

Because it was low season I ended up alone in my room, which was nice for a change. It felt clean and I actually stayed one night extra to explore the surroundings a bit more. The staff was very friendly and helpful and I could leave my bag with them after check out.

Del Barcito Hostel offers comfortable rooms in Punta del Este, 300 metres from Mansa beach. The property is 200 metres from the commercial area and 300 metres from the Casino. They have a policy to keep it silent from 1:00, so if you're light sleeper keep that in mind. But otherwise it's good.

Featuring an on site bar, The Trip Hostel offers budget rooms in Punta del Este. Free WiFi access is available in common areas. Each room is fitted with air conditioning and shared bathrooms. I had a great time at the Trip Hostel. I was traveling alone and arrived at the hostel on the last day of the year, I was immediately welcomed by the long-term guests and I ended up having a great New Year's Eve with them. The vibe is really laid-back and friendly. If you are traveling alone looking to meet some cool people look no further. Also, the location of the hostel couldn't be better, just two blocks from the "Dedos" sculpture, near playa mansa and brava, as well as the peninsula. If I'm back in Punta, I'm definitely staying there again.
