Vinthi is incredibly nice and helpful. She gave good information on the many things there is to do in Plettenberg. She and her family also offered us pastries and we had a dinner with the whole hostel one evening. The hostel has a perfect location, the beds are comfortable and the place is really clean. It's a very nice and social place. And I met many new friends there and we went on excursions together. I've never seen a hostel kitchen with so many utensils. Also the rooms have enough plugs and there's lockers. There's nice seating areas outside in the sun and parking.

All of the staff were very kind and friendly. The room was nice than I expected. You really don't need to leave because a restaurant, small store, and the beach are literally right there! If you don't want to swim in the big waves, a small calm lagoon is a short walk down the beach.

Guests of the hostel can use the free barbecue facilities on site. We booked 2 rooms and a tent. Tent feels like you sleep under the sky, because windows are always open. Keep it in mind if you book in cold weather (but they have a heater). Tent is very modern, bed is perfect, shower is good. Everything is very clean. You can use for free swimming pool and tubes with hot wither to relax after hiking day. Hotel offers tubing experience, but we did not try. Price was about 800 R per person.
