This is a working sheep and cattle farm 20 minutes drive from the town of Yass NSW, and 80 minutes drive from Canberra Airport. Please note that on approach the last approx 4 kms of road are unsealed.
We have a modern self contained one bedroom pool house, with a large timber deck to relax on while taking in the spectacular views overlooking the Murrumbidgee River/Burrinjuck Dam. Enjoy exclusive use of the 10metre swimming pool.
A continental breakfast is supplied..cereals x2 yoghurt fruit bread butter jams, orange juice and milk, tea and a coffee plunger. Some chocolates, magazines and DVDs too.
We have an abundance of native animals in the area including kangaroos, wombats, lizards, and echidnas. Also at times sheep and cattle will be grazing close by. We are Pet Friendly if you're travelling with a dog/s or other pets. Charges do apply. Please let us know when booking and fee can be paid in cash on arrival. Please bring your pets bedding. Pets are allowed inside but not on the sofa or bed.
There is a BBQ and kitchenette for basic food preparation including gas cooktop, toaster, kettle and refrigerator. Heating and cooling is provided by reverse cycle and ceiling fans.
I am a retired nurse, and now enjoy time to travel, play golf, snow ski, garden, cook, socialise etc.
Also, enjoying our first grand child, Arabella. We also love meeting all the different people that come to our unique Bed and Breakfast. We take pride in providing a clean and fresh environment to spend your time in, with 100% cotton white sheets ( line dried in the fresh country air). We are onsite if guests need anything i.e. advise on the local attractions, events etc.
Our guests love the views from the deck, the silence and the beautiful starry nights. In the warmer months the pool is enjoyed by all.
Some guests like to do a day trip to Canberra to see the attractions and or exhibitions, some like to do a wine tasting day at Murrumbateman, a 35 minute drive away, visit the historical home of Hamilton Hume, Cooma Cottage, explore fossils and Careys Caves at Wee Jasper.
At certain times of the year Yass has events on as well, Australia Day in Yass Valley (26th Jan 2021), Sculpture Exhibitions, food feasts, music and markets. Yazzbar in the main street of Yass is a must! Clementine Bakery, open Fri Sat and Sun also has delicious food.
There are plentiful coffee shops, restaurants, pubs and clubs, not to mention the retail therapy that can be had in our Main Street.
