The Honeysuckles is a special getaway place. No street lights make starry skies a feature of the night sky and the unmade roads a pleasure to walk along both by day and night. Both these unassuming features are what helps make The Honeysuckles a great place to experience a fast disappearing world we live in. A great case of "less is more". There are no shops in the hamlet itself making it tranquil and very family friendly. Our immediate neighbours are very nice folk; friendly, not noisy and respectful. Access to the beach at the rear of our property is unbeatable. The ocean is pristine and you will often be on the beach enjoying all by yourself! Honeysuckles is a place to enjoy nature to the fullest... Beach walks, birds, marsupials, sea creatures incl. whales, are all possible to see. The dark night sky can be spectacular and is a feature as are Moonlit beach walks at night. A short drive (about 15 kms) in the direction of Golden Beach takes you to the Trinculo ship wreck sitting on the sand. In the opposite direction a drive to Port Albert and the Maritime Museum are very worthwhile. Seaspray has a local food and grocery store and Post Office facility together with the Seaspray Life Saving Club which puts on a feed (check for details during the year). This truly is a great escape.
