Inspired by earth and born from a deep appreciation for our surrounds, Rare Earth Retreats is an immersive, environmentally conscious accommodation experience that celebrates the natural beauty of the McLaren Vale wine region. Our story is told in three parts. Stone, Clay and Slate. Each retreat is attentive to the rich terroir that makes McLaren Vale unique, offering thoughtful design that embraces sustainability and embodies the soil it stands on. Stay with us, and enjoy the work of local artists and craftsmen, whilst soaking in all our unique region has to offer.

Property information

A celebration of place, people and stories, these spaces are the result of collaboration between South Australian artists and creatives. Through the intentional balance of materials, textures and finishes, each retreat tells a different story of their surrounding environment. Central to this, was the works created by South Australian artists from JamFactory, that designed and crafted exclusive pieces to fit seamlessly within the space, like they were always meant to be there. From coffee mugs to bar stools, no two pieces are the same, yet everything is intentional.
