We live in Binalong Bay near St Helens with our little girl Millie and dog Lil. Our family-owned business Destination Bay of Fires manages boutique accommodation in the Bay of Fires region. Working in tourism/hospitality and managing holiday rentals in the area for many years, we maintain high standards to present and review accommodation to ensure guests have a comfortable stay in a home away from home. Driftwood Bay of Fires is located on the beach at the Northern end of Taylors Beach, 10 minutes drive from Binalong Bay Tasmania. Driftwood is perfectly designed to take full advantage of the view of the stunning East Coast Tasmania beach, whether you are on the veranda or anywhere in the house.
The house has two storeys with off street parking down the driveway including an open door garage for guest use. The downstairs living area contains a dining area, large kitchen, a spacious lounge and toilet. Upstairs is a mezzanine floor to take in the light and views of the ocean vista. It contains three open plan bedrooms and a laundry room. The master bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom including a bath and separate shower. The other two bedrooms share a separate bathroom and toilet. One of the two king beds can be set up as two single beds if need be.
The Driftwood kitchen is well equipped with large oven, gas cook top and spacious benches. A downstairs living area opens on to an extensive deck via sliding window doors and bi-folds. The Weber BBQ, tables and chairs furnish the deck.
Enjoy private access on to the beach that is only a stone’s throw from the house.

At Binalong Bay you can do as much or as little as you like...Relax on the beach or head further north to explore Jeanneret Beach, Cosy Corner or one of the many other secluded beaches. For those more active there are numerous kayaking, hiking or mountain biking opportunities. It is worth doing an early morning hike to Skelton Bay or the top of Humbug Point reserve for a spectacular sunrise. Keen anglers will also not be disappointed with Australian salmon, flat head, trevally, yellow fined tuna, striped marlin and mako shark just some of the species on offer. Abalone can be picked up snorkeling off the gulch and beautiful tasty Tasmanian crayfish can be caught during the season for those with a fishing licence. Book a Bay of Fires Eco tour to experience the coastline from the water and view some of the diverse marine life. Explore the area by land on a TAS4x4 tour, taking you as far as Eddystone Lighthouse located at the northern point of the Bay of Fires Conservation area and the most easterly spot in Tasmania. With so much to see in such a beautiful part of the world, your visit to Binalong Bay is guaranteed to leave lasting memories and a burning desire to visit again soon!
