We are a family run business with accommodation properties in Ballina NSW, Crows Nest and Mission Beach Queensland. Located in the quiet residential section of New Farm, Edward Lodge is only a short walk to public transport and the Brisbane River where locals and visitors catch the high speed ferry "City Cat" to the city (just one stop) or on to Southbank and other parts of the city providing a glorious view of Brisbane from the water. The seven-day-a-week shopping village of New Farm with its restaurants, bakery, hairdresser, newsagent, Coles supermarket and coffee shops is only a few minutes walk away as is the Power House for the Arts, Markets, New Farm Park. The Lodge itself resides within a traditionally inspired garden setting which offers a spacious and peaceful space. This relaxed and sophisticated lifestyle continues indoors, we have used leading designers to set apart. Our complementary continental breakfast in our beautiful breakfast room and courtyard consists of fresh fruits, Brookfarm muesli, local breads, cheese, sliced meats, yogurt non dairy and gluten free options. Edward Lodge is renowned as a peaceful and tranquil property.

New Farm is a beautiful inner city suburb of Brisbane with true Queenslander homes. With to a wide age group of people it attracts those who love the sophisticated city lifestyle without any of the angst. It is a lovely area to ‘discover' street by street. Plan to walk or cycle around the area. See and enjoy the beautiful heritage New Farm Park and the converted Powerhouse, now a modern arts and performance venue. Ride the cycleways beside the river. So close to the Brisbane CBD yet New Farm offers a change of pace after a day in the City. Some of Brisbane’s best restaurants, cafes, services and shopping are no more than a short stroll away.
