About the House: The house is perfect for both small and large groups (absolutely no schoolies, hens or bucks parties or parties in general - we take disturbing our neighbours really seriously). The house has been stylishly renovated throughout with a main, upper level of the house with ocean views and a lower, self-contained unit (bedroom/living area with TV, bathroom/laundry, outdoor lounge, dining and BBQ). Pets are welcome inside (but not on the furniture) and can enjoy the enclosed deck. Note, there is no cover from the elements on the deck or no fenced backyard, but with the off-leash beach only 2 minutes away there’s plenty of space for activity. Super fast, free wifi. We designed the space to be suitable for kids. All the appliances have child locks and the bookcases are attached to the wall for safety. There is a highchair available and breakables are placed out of reach. There are games, books, a game console and toys available for the kids too. Heaps of outdoor games like finska and a SUP and surf board.

About us: Kirsty and Jason here! We live in Canberra and we have two young sons and two cheeky border collies. We have a passion for renovating and creating beautiful spaces. We got into this business because we weren't finding what we wanted in our south coast holidays and wanted to do something a bit different. We wanted to bring our whole extended family away with us, including the furry ones and that pooches would enjoy the beach as much as we do. We wanted to relax and know our kids would be safe, where they couldn't reach breakables and weren't able pull down a bookcase on top of them or turn on the oven. We wanted to holiday at a place that was comfortable, not pretentious and was nicer than what we have at home. We wanted to know that if our kids spilt yoghurt on the couch, it would just wipe off. After may trips to the coast, we decided that we would just have to make this space ourselves. We never intended to create the successful business we have, but it turns out there's a bunch of people who want all these things too.

About the Area: The house is located two minutes walk to Wimbie Beach via a path down at the end of the cul-de-sac. This beach is tranquil with small waves great for kids, supping, kayaking and snorkelling around the rocks. It has an elevated grassed area perfect for an afternoon picnic looking over the beach. 5 minutes walk to the adjoining beach is Surf Beach, which is patrolled during the holiday season and perfect for adults and kids more confident in the water. There are lots of connected beaches in the area, great for a morning walk where you might catch a glimpse of the local dolphins. Wimbie Beach is next to a nature park where you can explore the bush and hidden beaches. A short 10 min drive to Bateman's Bay. But you could put the car away with coffee shops, restaurants, supermarket and bottle shop all within an easy walk (10 minutes) within Surf Beach.
