I have lived in Tasmanian all my life and always appreciated the beauty and diversity of our unique Island. I grew up with five brothers in Lenah valley - a suburb overshadowed by Mount Wellington, each day was a boys own adventure, most days of the school holidays we would climb to the pinnacle of Mount Wellington catching fish on the way home in the Lenah Valley creek via a method known as tickling. From my years as a boy scout and prior to becoming a father of four I’ve camped throughout most corners of the state. I particularly love the south-west wilderness. I count myself blessed to have seen and experienced Lake Pedder as nature intended prior to its flooding in 1972.
Since then i have been fortunate to travel around the world on multiple occasions. From driving and camping in a Combi through Europe in my early twenties, to exploring the USA, Russia, Cuba and Europe in a more luxurious way over the last 5 years. These experiences have allowed me to see and experience many beautiful cultures and countries of the world however each time i arrive home i am reminded of how lucky i am to live in this beautiful part of Australia.
