**Please note the property is located in a rural, coastal location: With lots birds and wildlife, some animal droppings are to be expected outside the property** Mr Percivals is a self-contained 3br house in the sleepy town of Dover in Southern Tasmania. Dover is the ideal base for exploring the beautiful Huon Valley. The beautiful Kent Beach is a short (about 4minute) stroll away. We decorated Mr Percivals with beach colours and theme, including a pelican or two. Although it's an amazing place to stay in summertime, we also love to escape there during winter when the beach is perfect for winter walks and the house is a cozy escape from busy lives.

We really hope you enjoy your stay with at Mr Percivals. We spent most of 2022 decorating the house, it was in desperate need of a fresh look. We stay there regularly ourselves with extended family and wanted to make it a bit quirky and a fun holiday home, that we could enjoy, our family could enjoy, and our guests could enjoy. We live about an hour away in the Channel region, but our wonderful cleaner, Kylie, lives a few houses away. For long stay guests we can arrange to have Kylie change bedding if you wish.

Dover is a very quiet little town, where you can really unwind. There is a local IGA supermarket, a bottleshop, hardware store and take away. For meals we usually go to the local RSL club, which serves very nice meals at reasonable prices. Riverrun Lodge at Strathblane is a gorgeous log cabin restaurant/bar, and is well worth a visit. Tahune Air Walk and Hastings Caves are nearby attractions. At Hastings Caves you can swim at the springs pool, and do a guided tour of the caves. There are a number of other lovely towns near Dover: Southport, Franklin, Cygnet - to name a few. They have nice cafes, and markets at various times throughout the year.
