The perfect base to explore Far North Queensland, Holloways Beach is a relaxed seaside village with year-round holiday vibes. An easy 15-minutes north of Cairns and 20-minutes south of Palm Cove, Holloways Beach, has a selection of cafes and restaurants, all a short stroll from Mylara (our picks; Strait on the Beach, Two Blocks Café and Holloways Pizza and Pasta).
A sun-kissed beach and foreshore parks with walking and cycling trails, this is the kind of place where you want to kick back and relax. Time your visit right, and you’ll be in for a real treat with Holloways Beach Market (held on the second Sunday of every month).
Yet all the adventure you could dream of is just around the corner. The Great Barrier Reef and The Daintree Rainforest are a must-do day trip, but brace yourself because there is a lot of water fun to be had; scuba diving, snorkelling, kayaking, sailing, jet skiing, stand-up paddle boarding, white water rafting, island hopping and deep-sea fishing (to name a few). On land, the list is just as diverse; golfing, bungee jumping, hiking, animal encounters, or explore Cairns, Port Douglas, and Kuranda, a mountain village within a tropical rainforest
