Welcome to beautiful Magnetic Island! Nature Retreat on Mandalay is located in a sprawling resort, a short distance from the main ferry terminal and accessible by public transport or private taxi. The resort is unique of its kind on the island, and, being slightly away from the main tourism hubs, has a lovely secluded and relaxing feel which will see your stress levels just melt away. You won’t want to leave! Our one bedroom family apartment, for up to 5, features a private ensuite, air-conditioning, flat screen TV, and a kitchenette. There is a queen bed in the main bedroom, and a trundle + sofa bed in the living area. The resort itself has, for your use, a bar, restaurant, tennis courts, BBQ facilities, kid’s playground, a shared laundry, and a magnificent magnesium swimming pool. Sit on your front patio and take in the sights, sounds and fresh air of the beautiful surroundings. Immerse yourself in the unique nature experience within the resort taking in the rich bird life, the cute rock wallabies, and daily kookaburra and lorikeet feeding. With the national park at your back window, you may even spot the odd koala! Please note this is a private let within the resort.

Kristy and Simon live on the Gold Coast and come to Magnetic Island with their family every chance they get. With family and friends in Townsville, Kristy and Simon fell in love with Maggie and bought this unit, Fast forward and we now present this unit to you together. We would love to share with you this little piece of paradise. There is so much to see and do on this beautiful island, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Magnetic Island is a rare jewel which has been largely obscured from the commercial tourism sector in past years but which we believe is arguably one of the best island holiday experiences in Australia due to its welcoming feel, stunning beaches, rich history, diverse experiences, and natural beauty. Magnetic Island is one of those charming places that has special 'Island Time'. It is one of the only Great Barrier Reef islands to have a postcode and 4 villages. Nelly Bay (where you arrive on the ferry); Picnic Bay; Arcadia and Horseshoe Bay is home to around 2000 people. We would really recommend the Forts Walk. You can get there by bus - it's on the road to Horseshoe Bay at the Radical Bay turnoff. and over the 3/4 of an hour walk you are almost guaranteed to see a koala in the wild. It also has the best preserved fortification from WWII on the eastern seaboard. There are lots of walks as three quarters of the island is national park. Horseshoe Bay is the best for water activities and Picnic Bay is a beautiful quieter spot. Alma Bay has a great swimming beach all year round.
