Stonewood Retreat is a comfortable and beautiful rainforest sanctuary, set on 2.5 acres of Daintree Rainforest. This eco accommodation is an hour drive north of Port Douglas and 30 minutes away from Cape Tribulation. Stone wood Retreat features private and enchanting fresh water swimming pools and waterfalls, private rainforest walking trails, forest gardens, wonderful wildlife and tranquil nights.
The retreat is situated amongst two World Heritage areas - the Daintree Rainforest, and the Great Barrier Reef, sitting in rainforest mountains sloping down to the coastal strip that are covered in the oldest continuously surviving tropical rainforest in the world.
Besides the natural beauty of the property itself, there are many places to explore in the surrounding areas, such as secluded beaches, rainforest boardwalks, river and reef cruises as well as cafes and restaurants.
The house is 1 bedroom and suitable for couples with a king sized bed and two king single ensembles. The house is eco friendly, running almost entirely off solar and hydro power from the permanent creek.
