St Helens is the 2020 best tourism town in Tasmania award winner. The beautiful bay of fires beaches just down the road, many great cafes and dining options by Georges bay in town 5 minutes from the house, and the new mountain bike trails will keep the family very busy. 1 hr drive to the world-famous Derby Mountain bike trails and 30 mins to Blue tier trail head for more world class mountain biking. There are short, half, and full-day hiking options in the area. Lots of interesting local produce like the Pyengana cheese factory, a great local providore with many fantastic local products just minutes from the house.
