A lovely Californian bungalow, renovated her throughout and turned an ‘old lady’ from the 1920’s into a bright new star in Orange’s dress circle - The Sampson.
We wanted to create a pace we love to stay in. A style, elegance and luxury that says "Come inside and relax... unwind... allow yourself to be pampered."
Like all homes of this era, she has settled gracefully into old age, with a few wrinkles. We like to celebrate the lives she’s led and not discard all of the character and idiosyncrasies that make her special.
So it's tasteful sympathetic renovation, with a dollop of the pampering luxury and mod cons we have come to expect at our fingertips.
Charm mixed with urbane sophistication.
After finishing my dance training in the UK in the 80's I travelled and worked both there and in Scandinavia, NZ and ended up in Australia.
The thing I miss most about where I grew up is the change of seasons - and I longed to find the place that would offer that again..
The warm inviting summer, the cold bracing winter and all the coloured leaves and spring flowers, that were my joy growing up.
We came to Orange for a concert in the winter of 2009 and fell in love with the town and the region all over again. That planted the seed - and it has since been the goal to spend more and more time here and eventually move here.
The cool climate and the definite four seasons remind me so much of home, something I’ve missed so much since living ‘down under’.
To top it off - as an ardent foodie and amateur 'wine connoisseur' [at least when it comes to its consumption!] - Orange sates those appetites with a tremendous selection of great wineries, restaurants and food providores.

Take a drive out to any of Orange’s stunning intimate wineries and hear first hand from the winemaker of the passion and love they invest in their charge.
Spend the evening in any one of the plethora of restaurants and eateries within walking distance… and then return home to curl up on the couch and catch up on your latest ‘must watch’ TV or movie.
Or finish that book you’ve been trying to get through for months.
