Point Arkwright attracts fisherman and spear fisherman all year round with the array of fish around the rocky point. Spend the afternoon crab hunting or digging for pipis. Patrolled beaches at coolum and Yaroomba on school holidays will ensure you are safe while enjoying the views. Amenities are there for you to enjoy please use whatever is available while you stay. This includes boogie boards, stand up paddle boards, surfboards and a huge array of books. And freshly ground coffee of course! The stunning ocean views are a fantastic place to take in the best Sunshine Coast has to offer. Full home access. Other things to note (based on recent review) The house is beautifully set up high (driveway steep, but got the heart pumping!), with the most amazing views. Fully equipped kitchen, with all amenities catered for. No air conditioning, but being so high, the wonderful sea breezes filtered the house. Great spot for sharing a family holiday - we took our bikes and enjoyed the wandering paths and boardwalks. Love Coolum/Marcoola, and this house is perfectly situated away from the crowded areas.

We are busy adventuring family based in Brisbane and are often off grid somewhere (trying to unplug) but you will always be well looked after with the wonderful local Sarah as an experienced property manager, Sarah is just 2 minutes away.

There is so much to love about Point Arkwright. Fisherman and spear fishermen enjoy the point. They say they can hear the whales underwater when diving. Children will love the rock pools for endless fun exploring and catching crabs (or spotting them). The Point Arkwright coastal walk from Point Arkwright to Coolum is beautiful, (https://adventure.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au/Home/TrailDetailsView?trailId=11212) or if you prefer walks along the beach, you can walk along the coast to Yaroomba surf club or Surf air. When the waves are big we love taking our dog to Mudjimba Dog Park (near pelican waters) it is calmer for the dogs and small children. Hiking mount coolum is worth it also - 45 min return gets you amazing views of the coast. If you are a bird watcher you will enjoy spotting Brahminy Kits, Osprey and Black cockatoos. If you're a foodie we really enjoy Coolum Thai restaurant it has some great veg and Vegan options, the Ma Boulange Cafe in Coolum has the most amazing lemon tarts and Maiori Pizzeria Peregian Springs has the best pizza!
